Photographs of 18th Dynasty Rulers
The following photographs are intended to show the racial features of the Egyptian rulers of the 18th dynasty.
This is compatible with my assessment of the racial features of Akhenaton and King Tut. This is the only dynasty in which black features are so prominent. This dynasty also saw great upheaval in the religious and political realm.
Following are the reigns, with assumed dates, and important female figures.
Ahmose 1550 - 1525
Amenhotep I 1525 - 1504
Tuthmosis I 1504 - 1492
Tuthmosis II 1492 - 1479
Tuthmosis III 1479 - 1425
Hatschepsut 1473 - 1458
Amenhotep II 1427 - 1400
Tuthmosis IV 1400 - 1390
Amenhotep III 1390 - 1352
Amenhotep VI. (Echnaton) 1352 - 1336
Nofretete 13 years
Queen Anchetcheprura (Meritaton)
Smenchkara 1338 - 1336
Tutanchamun 1336 - 1327
Eje (Ay) 1327 - 1323
Haremhab 1323 - 1295
Thutmose III may have been idealized. Hence the statue may not be a true reproduction.
However we see that Ay is faithfully reproduced. The statue shows his thick lips, prominent cheek bones, and bulging eyes.
Ahmes Nefertari, although idealized, is shown in black paint.
Nefertiti is very light colored, although she would have trouble passing as white in the modern world.
